Internal Club Tournival
Feeling the January blues? Don’t worry—our internal club Tournival is here to kickstart your year with fun and friendly competition!
Event Details:
- Dates: Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th January 2025
- Location: Lisburn Leisureplex (Courts 5-8)
- Format: Men’s, Women’s, and Mixed Doubles
- Skill Levels: Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced
- Times:
- Saturday: 11 AM – 3:30 PM (Men’s/Women’s Doubles)
- Sunday: 11.30 AM – 3.30 PM (Mixed Doubles)
- Please arrive 15 minutes early.
- Entry Fee: Free for 2025 registered Lisburn Pickleball Club members. A £5 minimum donation per event is encouraged, supporting Air Ambulance & Samaritans.
How it works:
- Enter as an individual—you’ll be paired with different partners for each game.
- Games are timed, with scores recorded after each match.
- Points system:
- Win: 3 points
- Draw: 1 point
- Loss: 0 points
- Points difference is counted if you end level on points with another player
- Top players earn medals (Gold, Silver, Bronze).
Game Format:
- Saturday: 11-minute games (1.5-minute breaks), 7 games per section.
- Sunday: 10-minute games (1.5-minute breaks), 7 games per section.
Rule Highlights:
- USAPA rules apply, but games are timed (not sets).
- Foot faults must be called out by the offending player.
- No time-outs or delays. Late arrivals cost your team 1 point per minute.
- Disputes should be resolved on the court.

- Entrants Announced: 10th January via Spond.
- Membership: Ensure our 2025 membership form is completed and subs paid before registering.

- Novice Women’s Doubles: 11 AM – 12:30 PM (Courts 7 & 8)
- Intermediate Women’s Doubles: 12:30 PM – 2 PM (Courts 7 & 8)
- Advanced Women’s Doubles: 2 PM – 3:30 PM (Courts 7 & 8)
- Novice Men’s Doubles: 11 AM – 12:30 PM (Courts 5 & 6)
- Intermediate Men’s Doubles: 12:30 PM – 2 PM (Courts 5 & 6)
- Advanced Men’s Doubles: 2 PM – 3:30 PM (Courts 5 & 6)
- Sunday (26th January):
- Novice Mixed Doubles: 11.30 AM – 12:50 PM (Courts 5-8)
- Intermediate Mixed Doubles: 12:50 PM – 2.10 PM (Courts 5-8)
- Advanced Mixed Doubles: 2.10 PM – 3.30 PM (Courts 5-8)
